Reed Scientific are looking for a Laboratory Coordinator to ensure the quality and compliance of our client’s products and processes. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards and meeting regulatory requirements. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Analysis and Compliance: Analyse raw materials, intermediate products, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications. Assess compliance with specification of materials and investigate and interpret data in cases of non-compliance. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and operation of laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance and correct troubleshooting. Safety and Standards: Ensure all laboratory activities comply with legal standards and company procedures. Maintain a safe working environment at all times. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with various process departments to communicate relevant data and issues. Participate in improvement activities and collaborate with operational colleagues. Support and Development: Provide support for product development activities and participate in analytical method development. Deliver training to other staff members as needed. Stock maintenance: Check stock levels and order chemicals and disposable goods Required Skills & Qualifications: Educational Background: Degree in chemistry or a related scientific discipline. Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ industry experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Technical Skills: Proficient in ICP, HPLC, GC, and GCMS. Familiarity with GLP and current health and safety standards. QA Experience: Experience with QA-related activities is advantageous. Flexibility: Willingness to cover shifts as required, between 6am and 11pm Monday to Friday. You may be required to work some weekends. Travel: You may be required to travel nationally and overseas occasionally for up to 1 week to attend training courses or meetings.
