1. Generally assisting in the care of patients, including explaining procedures, changing requirements, helpingand escorting patients or relatives as necessary.2. To safely transfer patients to the imaging department from other areas of the Hospital and to safely transferthem back. Transfer will involve using beds, trolleys, wheelchairs or on foot. This will involve using theHospital lifts.3. To assist Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners or Radiologists to safely transfer and move patients duringimaging examinations4. Liaise with wards, porters and staff to ensure patients are x-rayed or scanned in a timely manner5. Preparing the examination rooms before procedures6. To chaperone and support patients in the department to ensure their comfort and safety.7. To act upon instructions given to help provide a safe, clean and comfortable environment8. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in compliance with the Trusts infection policy.9.
