A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Band 3 Dietetic Assistant to facilitate the delivery of our Eating Disorder Dietetic Service in the Conwy & Denbighshire areas of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB).
The Dietetic Assistant will support the Team's Dietitians in the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of best practice in relation to Eating Disorders, working as an integral member of, and in partnership with multi-agency community teams.
Main duties of the job
You will also remain a key member of the dietetic team, joining an enthusiastic and friendly team of over 80 dietitians delivering services in acute and primary care, and public health. We deliver clinical placements for students, and have secretarial and assistant support.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply

Qualifications
Essential
1. Quality Credit Framework qualification at level 3 NVQ related to Health & Social Care, or working towards, (or equivalent); Documented evidence of participation in training activities
Desirable
2. Membership of professional body and/or special interest group. Degree in nutrition related subject. Food hygiene certificate
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
3. Understanding of the role of the Dietitian. Relevant experience working within health, social or education settings. Basic knowledge of some conditions that could impact upon nutrition and hydration in children and young people, relevant to the role. Self-motivation for Continued Professional Development
Desirable
4. Experience in working directly with people with communication challenges/other additional needs. Experience in clinical and/ or catering establishment. Experience of practical food preparation/ demonstration. Basic knowledge of the principles of Clinical Governance. Awareness of Health & Safety legislation & practices.
