Role Overview:
The Supply Chain Planners have responsibility for the end-to-end stock management of a range of SKUs, ensuring high stock availability at all times. Working collaboratively with the wider Supply Chain team and key stakeholders within Buying, Sales and Operations, it is their role to prioritise stock requirements according to business needs.
Main Responsibilities:
* Takes ownership of creating and maintaining forecasts, continuously reviewing against sales trends.
* Places orders in line with forecasted requirements to ensure the right level of stock, in the right place and at the right time.
* Maintains the orderbook, ensuring dates are accurate and up to date.
* Identifies risks and acts quickly to expedite or defer orders, flags issues to the wider team where necessary and highlights overstocks for clearance action.
* Works closely with the Buyer to implement their range plan, manage the exit of deleted SKUs and to ensure a smooth launch of new products.
* Works closely with the Sales team to ensure good availability and consistent supply for key National Accounts.
* Implements promotional plans provided by the Sales team to ensure a timely launch with high availability throughout the period.
* Manages key internal relationships with Buying, Sales, and Operations.
* Develops and promotes effective relationships with suppliers, monitoring supplier performance and working closely to resolve issues quickly.
* Takes responsibility for relationships with key customers to support their requirements in line with Toolstream capabilities and constraints.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Experience of working with forecasts (or an understanding of how they are created)
* Advanced Excel skills, including xlookups, vlookups and pivot tables.
* At least 2 years experience of working within a demand planning environment
Desired Skills:
* Experience of using Microsoft D365
* Experience using a forecasting and replenishment system
