Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.
Overview of project/role
To support the Performance and Controls Managers to deliver RFLI’s (Rail for London Infrastructure) compliance to corporate governance and regulatory requirements. To support the monitoring of Elizabeth Line stakeholder and duty holder roles and activities. To assist in the development of mechanisms for the delivery of Elizabeth Line outputs within the framework of Technical Standards for Interoperability and ROGS (The Railways and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations 2006).
Key Accountabilities
* Support the Performance & Controls Managers in the development and delivery of reports relating to RFLI standards and other processes to ensure that RfLI are working in line with industry standards and broader rail and industry regulation.
* Ensure through effective gathering of information and timely updating of Excel, Word and PowerPoint documents that the requirements of the various RFLI reporting regimes are met.
* Keep all trackers and internal news briefings updated in a timely manner to ensure Performance & Controls Management is up to date or ahead of the curve on upcoming regulatory, industry Rail Safety and standards board (RSSB) and corporate (TfL) process and standards (e.g., British Standards Institution & Network Rail standards) changes with an initial assessment of their impact on the Elizabeth Line.
* Responsible for the planning and organisation of Performance & Controls meetings in relation to Standards and other processes and recording of accurate outputs and actions.
* Responsible for administering the processes for management of the various (Standards, Product and Space Allocation) registers, trackers, inboxes, and meeting minutes for the Elizabeth Line.
* Support the regulation and co-ordination of verification activities, configuration control processes and input/output to/from the Elizabeth Line document control team.
* Responsible for communication of Standard related industry alerts (safety, products, incidents etc.) to the wider RFLI team to ensure they are aware of developments which are outside of our business and publishing news stories on the RfLI SharePoint site.
* Meet regularly as required with Custodians and Asset Engineers to ensure a regular cadence of updating and reporting for all documents that require periodic revision.
* Develop a ‘continuous learning’ aptitude to become a subject matter expert in the regulation of standards and other processes relevant to the Elizabeth line.

Knowledge
* Entry level knowledge of corporate Governance activities, its component parts and how they are used to deliver required results.
* A good understanding of business management systems, their importance and methods used to create and use them.
* A working knowledge of reporting mechanisms, their purpose and application.
* Sound understanding of the Elizabeth Line geography, its interfaces and business goals.
* Entry level knowledge of business improvement techniques and their use.
* An understanding of the role of Railway Legislation and its application.
* Knowledge of historic background to the Crossrail Programme and the Elizabeth Line infrastructure.
* Entry level understanding of RfLI obligations as an inter-operable, open-access rail infrastructure manager.
Experience
* Proven experience of working in a support management role in the railway industry.
* A good understanding of the production of reports, meeting minutes and process reviews.
* An understanding of standards management and associated change controls.
* Use of proprietary and TfL IT products for preparation of reports and corporate information processing.
* A broad understanding of audit programme input/output documentation and follow-up of corrective action close-out.
