Come and join the DBS community today Job description The DBS Enterprise Risk Manager is the lead risk expert within Defence Business Services, responsible for the maintenance, implementation, and assurance of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework for DBS, in accordance with JSP 892 and the Orange Book. This post is the lead in driving risk transformation within DBS, utilising digital capabilities and reporting to enable inter-DBS risk mapping from child to adult risks, and child to child as siblings, as well as maintaining the digitised approaches already in place. This includes: Ongoing management and oversight of the Corporate Risk register, including monthly risk calls with corporate risk owners; Reviewing business area risk registers, digitising where needed, and providing an enterprise analytical review over risk data, as well as advice and guidance to business area risk leads; Maintenance of the Assumptions, Dependencies, Opportunities and Threats register for DBS; Oversight of all risk and business related actions that map to risks; Oversight of controls which map to risks, outside of the Internal Control Assurance Framework; Risk mapping within the Service Catalogue assurance map, ensuring risk data is captured and mapped to support resilience over service delivery; and Assurance reporting against the Orange Book Risk Management Framework. Leading on the annual update of Risk Appetite for DBS, reviewing the Orange Book and Defence guidance to ensure appetite is aligned and supports delivery. Producing the Risk Appetite and Risk Identification slide deck for presentation at the DBS Board. Reviewing risks and ensuring appetite is actively captured for all Corporate risks, whilst supporting business area risks with Risk Appetite mapping. Regular risk reporting, including responding to the Quarterly Performance and Risk Report issued by Defence Risk and Assurance, quarterly reporting to the DBS Board, regular reporting to the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee, as well as any other risk reporting requirements. Create and implement the annual deep dive programme over Corporate Risks within the DBS Board, engaging with the Secretariat to ensure reviews are included as part of the DBS Board forward plan. Producing risk deep dive information review packs for presentation during the deep dive, capturing outcomes from the deep dive and actions, following up with a summary report. Maintain implement, and assure the Enterprise Risk Management Framework for DBS annually, in accordance with JSP 892 and the Orange Book; Management of the DBS Corporate Risk Register, engaging with risk owners monthly; Responding to Defence Risk and Assurance on the Quarterly Performance and Risk Report; Leading on the risk transformation work stream; Maintaining the Assumptions, Dependencies, Opportunities, and Threats register for DBS; Assurance over Orange Book Risk Control Framework implementation; Creation of the annual risk deep dive programme; Creation of the risk deep dive information packs and subsequent review reports; Creation of risk reports for governance forums; Annual creation of the Risk Appetite information pack and risk identification presentation for the DBS Board; Annual update of the DBS Risk Appetite.
