Job Description
* Implement effective purchasing strategies across the company.
* Negotiate with suppliers for favourable terms and pricing.
* Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities.
* Develop a strategic approach for procurement and material management.
* Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods.
* Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
* Ensure adherence to laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
* Supervise, mentor, and develop junior members of the Procurement team.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Buyer should have:
* A degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration.
* Prior experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry.
* Strong negotiation and networking skills.
* Excellent knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
* Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
* Experience in collecting and analysing data.
