An exciting opportunity to work in UHMBT as a Highly Skilled Cardiac Physiologist.
This is a 12 month fixed term part time contract to cover maternity leave.
We are a cross bay department and work across all three sites providing high quality diagnostic tests
You will be involved in all aspects of the CIU department in regards speciality field
First and foremost is the ability to be part of a team. Cardiac Physiologists - The brady pacing and Loop recorder implant and follow-up. The post-holder will be independent in angiogram, implanting and follow-up for brady-pacing, ILR follow-up. Ideally the post-holder should be able to perform 12 lead ECGs, ambulatory monitors: fitting and analysis, physiologist led exercise treadmill tests, Pharmacological MIBI.
The post holder will be expected to remain professional at all times, liaise with other clinical teams and maintain good public relations on a one-to-one basis with the general public and other interest groups.
We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
