FM Assistant (Domestic/Portering Services) - St Margaret's Hospital

* Participate in the provision of in-house FM services to a specified area within the Trust, including in-patient wards, admin/clinical areas, and retail outlets.
* Maintain a clean and hygienic environment for patients, trust staff, and visitors in line with the National Standards of Cleanliness.
* Expected to have a flexible approach, excellent interpersonal and customer skills, and the ability to use initiative to prioritize and organize duties.
Main Duties of the Job
Domestic Service including Rapid Response (CAT)
* Undertake a variety of cleaning duties including vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping floors; high/low dusting; cleaning surfaces, mirrors, chairs, bed frames, bins, toilets, sinks, and kitchens.
* Report any issues with floor coverings or surfaces that affect cleaning ability to the supervisor.
* Ensure correct color-coded equipment is used and kept in a clean, safe, and tidy condition.
* Operate machinery/equipment safely and report any faults or broken equipment immediately.
* Ensure recyclables and waste are disposed of in accordance with Trust policy.

Job Responsibilities
Schedule for assigned ward(s)/areas includes cleaning duties such as vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and restocking consumables.
Work with your supervisor to manage the Work Schedule effectively.
Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning materials and report any quality issues.
Maintain equipment cleanliness and report faults promptly.
Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and report any segregation issues to your supervisor.
