Job Title: Quality Health & Safety Engineer Job Overview: The Quality Health & Safety Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations, while also promoting a culture of continuous improvement in quality and safety standards. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. Lead the investigation of accidents and incidents, ensuring that all incidents are documented, reported, and resolved. Provide training and support to employees on health, safety, and environmental best practices. Ensure compliance with national and international safety standards, including OSHA, ISO 45001, etc. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with production teams to develop and maintain quality assurance standards and processes. Monitor product and process quality, performing inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations. Support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for non-conformance issues, ensuring continuous quality improvement. Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines. Risk Management: Perform risk assessments and contribute to the development of effective risk mitigation strategies. Analyze safety data and trends to recommend proactive safety improvements. Ensure appropriate safety equipment and personal protective gear are provided and used correctly. Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring the organization is compliant. Assist in preparing for inspections and audits by external regulatory bodies. Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory agencies as required. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain records of inspections, audits, incidents, and corrective actions. Prepare detailed reports on safety and quality performance for senior management. Assist in the preparation of health, safety, and quality reports for internal meetings. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications in health & safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are a plus. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in health & safety engineering, quality control, or a related field. Experience in implementing ISO 9001, ISO 45001, or similar quality management and safety standards. Practical experience in performing risk assessments, safety audits, and root cause analysis. Skills: Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices. Proficiency in quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence others.
