The Bay Network is recruiting for a Senior Nurse Management role to support The Bay All Age Community Mental Health Service portfolios and the Urgent Care Pathway service lines. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality care across the following teams:
* Older Adult Mental Health
* Adult Community Mental Health
* Home Based Treatment Teams
* Initial Response Service
* 136 suites
* Mental Health Liaison
* Specific nursing project work to support the Director of Nursing and Quality.
The post holder will line manage the Community Matrons and work closely with the Associate Director of Operations, Service Managers, and Clinical Leads in the Community Mental Health and Urgent Care Pathway, reporting directly to the Director of Nursing for the Bay Network. The successful applicant will have significant experience in operational and clinical management and be able to demonstrate an approach aligned with the Trust values. The Senior Nurse Manager (SNM) has responsibility for the leadership and management of nursing across the Community Mental Health teams; this includes line management of the Matrons and Clinical Leads. The SNM will support the Network Director of Nursing & Quality and work with the Associate Director of Operations for Community Mental Health in all issues relating to nursing within the Community Mental Health services and is an integral part of the senior nurse structure.
The SNM will establish and foster an effective working relationship with the Community Management team to lead improvements in nursing, service delivery, and the achievement of organisational priorities. The SNM is responsible for decision-making where practice or service delivery issues arise within the Community Pathways and where cross-locality leadership is required.
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health, and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
