Frontline Recruitment are in search of an Upholsterer for our client in Andover, who preferably has worked in a factory environment before and has potentially used hand tools like an air-compressed staple gun.
Being punctual and having a can-do attitude are must-have requirements for this role.
Responsibilities:
1. Using power and hand tools, filler, and cut fabric to wooden framework in the assembly of hand-crafted furniture.
2. Attach finishes to complete orders according to specifications.
3. Measure and cut fabric pieces with the aid of patterns or stencils and industrial cutting tools to precise sizes and dimensions.
4. Read work orders and maintain a database of production status.
5. Inspect wooden framework for defects and make repairs as needed prior to upholstery application and other finish work.
6. Operate portable hand-sewing equipment, nail guns, hobnail and tack hammers, and other industrial equipment.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as an Upholsterer.
2. Knowledge of modern upholstery techniques.
3. Strong attention to detail and precision.
4. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
5. Excellent communication skills.
