H3 HEAD OF IT /h3 p We currently have a fantastic opportunity within strong Furniture Village /strong for a talented and ambitious strong Head of IT /strong. You will join our team based in strong Slough /strong on a strong full time, permanent basis /strong and in return will receive a strong competitive salary of £110,000 - £120,000 per annum /strong. /p p This role will lead the IT team and report into the Business Development and IT Director who is a Main Board member with accountability for Doing Better Things and Doing Things Better' and hence improving the performance of the organisation as a whole. /p p This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop into the role of strong Head of IT /strong and ultimately provide succession to the current Director. Coaching and mentoring into this role will be a key part of the relationship between the Head of IT and the Director of IT. /p h3 Key responsibilities our Head of IT will have: /h3 ol li Accountable for the day to day running of all IT operational systems across the business. /li li Accountable for the security of data across all IT systems and devices in accordance with GDPR and company policies. /li li Accountable for leading the introduction of new developments and systems into operational service. /li li Being the deputy to the Director of IT and representing them and Furniture Village internally and externally as needed. /li li To drive a culture of customer service excellence, continuous improvement, innovation and cost-effective service and solution delivery. /li li To look to the future to identify cost effective service improvements and innovations. /li li To improve the professionalisation and best practice of IT delivery and innovation within FV. /li li To contribute to the continuing development of FV as a rewarding, enjoyable and fun place to be. /li li Manage the FV IT Services team. /li li Manage contracts and billing processes with third parties. /li li Own the IT Capital and Revenue budgets for all day to day services and equipment, providing annual budgets and maintaining accurate forecasts. /li li Ensure that all operational systems are accurately documented and supported and have adequate capacity and performance headroom to not cause a detrimental impact to effective running of systems. /li /ol h3 Our successful Head of IT will have the following skills and experience: /h3 ol li Degree desirable but not essential. Additional qualifications in Service and Project Management would be a bonus but working knowledge of both with examples is essential.
