If so, Moxie People is working with a values-led organisation, making a big difference in the lives of children and young people affected by domestic abuse in the Vale of Glamorgan, to recruit for a Senior Children and Young People Worker covering maternity.
Our inspiring client is on the lookout for a compassionate, experienced advocate who can lead from the front as the Senior Children and Young People Worker. You'll be supporting young people up to 18, managing a small team, and driving forward trauma-informed, child-centred practice.

£27,514 - £29,714 per annum
⏳ Fixed term until May 2026 (maternity cover)
⏰ 35 hours per week

What you'll be doing as the Senior Children and Young People Worker:
* Supporting a small caseload of up to 6 children and young people impacted by domestic abuse
* Supervising and developing a small, dedicated team of two CYP Support Workers
* Co-producing support plans and making sure children's voices shape the services they receive
* Leading safeguarding and risk assessments with confidence
* Building trusted relationships with schools, social workers, and wider support services
* Promoting a culture of safety, care, and emotional healing
* Using data and feedback to improve services and celebrate impact
What you'll need to be successful?
* Demonstrable experience working with young people (A background as a Youth Worker or Early Years Practitioner would be highly advantageous)
* Sound knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on children
* Someone who's led or supervised a small team before
* Skilled in safeguarding, risk assessment, and working in multi-agency settings
* Strong communicator with a calm, solution-focused approach
* A driving licence and ability to travel locally around the Vale of Glamorgan
