We are looking for an experienced Care Home Manager to lead a brand-new, state-of-the-art care home in the Great Yarmouth area. This beautiful nursing home is designed to offer a serene environment with the feel of a five-star boutique hotel, featuring elegant bedrooms and spacious living areas.
About the Role
As the Care Home Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the home, guiding it towards an Outstanding CQC rating while ensuring high-quality care and full occupancy. You will lead a dedicated team, supported by a Deputy Manager, Administrator, and Hospitality and Housekeeping teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strong leadership and direction to the staff team, fostering a culture of kindness, compassion, and empathy.
• Recruit, train, and motivate a skilled team committed to delivering person-centred care.
• Ensure compliance with all CQC regulations and maintain the highest standards of care.
• Manage the home's budget, meeting financial targets and effectively controlling costs.
• Implement a strategic marketing plan to promote the home and maintain full occupancy.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate the home's performance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Manage and mitigate risks to ensure a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.
Skills and Attributes
• Previous experience managing a nursing home.
• Strong knowledge of CQC standards with a track record of working towards Outstanding ratings.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external professionals.
• Proven marketing and business skills within the private care sector, successfully running a care home.
• Passionate about developing high levels of person-centred care.
Education and Qualifications
• NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience (essential).
• Previous experience as a Nursing Home Manager is essential.
