Join Magnopus as an Audio Designer and help craft immersive soundscapes that bring our games and experiences to life. Working at the intersection of creativity and technology, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to shape the audio vision, design high-quality sound assets, and implement them into our projects. Responsibilities
* Design, Create and Implement industry standard sound effects, ambiences, and other audio assets
* Implement audio assets directly in game engines
* Collaborate with other departments to develop and integrate audio assets that enhance gameplay features while aligning with the game's artistic, gameplay, and audio direction
* Work closely with programmers & engineers to integrate and develop robust and dynamic interactive audio systems that support gameplay features whilst aligning with the games artistic & audio direction.
* Record, edit, and process sound effects to create immersive and engaging soundscapes
* Participate in regular playtests and mix sessions to ensure optimal sound mix and overall audio quality
* Troubleshoot and optimise audio assets for performance across different platforms
Requirements
* Experience designing and implementing audio for games or relevant adjacent industries or media.
* Proficiency implementing audio into game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity
* Strong knowledge of sound design, mixing, and mastering techniques
* Experience using DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) such as Reaper, Pro Tools, Nuendo or Logic Pro
* Effectively manage tasks and deadlines by prioritising workload based on project needs
* Understanding of spatial audio techniques and interactive audio design
* Ability to implement and optimise audio assets in a real-time game environment
* Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
* Embrace feedback and adapt to evolving project needs with a proactive and open-minded approach
* Passion for video games and a deep understanding of how audio enhances the player experience
Nice to have
* Experience with dialogue recording, editing, and implementation
* Familiarity with MIDI authoring and workflow
* Hands-on experience with field recording and recording equipment
* Knowledge of game audio middleware such as Wwise or FMOD
* Experience working with Unreal Engine Blueprints, MetaSounds, or Quartz
* Interest or experience in 3D audio techniques, such as binaural or ambisonic sound design
* Background in foley recording and sound effects creation
