Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic IT Project Manager to oversee and deliver a variety of technical projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will effectively manage risks, build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external clients, and suppliers, and drive project success through collaboration and strategic leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, plan, and manage multiple project streams, ensuring timely and quality delivery within budget.
2. Create and maintain detailed project plans using Microsoft Project (MSP) and agile planning tools to support hybrid delivery methodologies.
3. Collaborate with business units, analysts, and developers to document requirements and oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle.
4. Produce comprehensive project documentation, including PIDs, Risk Registers, Issue Logs, Implementation Plans, Meeting Minutes, and Status Reports.
5. Build and sustain strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, clients, and suppliers to facilitate seamless project outcomes.
6. Lead meetings and steer discussions to achieve desired outcomes, even when managing challenging stakeholders.
7. Organize and facilitate project meetings, stand-ups, and reviews.
Skills & Requirements
Essential:
1. Minimum of 4 years' project management experience.
2. Proficient in Prince 2 and Agile methodologies.
3. Strong expertise in Microsoft Project (MSP).
4. Proven ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously.
5. Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets and finances effectively.
6. Excellent documentation skills for creating PIDs, client presentations, and detailed status reports.
7. Strong interpersonal skills to gain the respect and confidence of internal and external stakeholders with a client-focused approach.
8. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable:
1. Prince 2 Project Management or Agile certification.
2. Familiarity with electronic task management systems such as JIRA or Asana.
3. Experience working with developers and delivering projects through the software development lifecycle.
4. Proficiency in Google Suite.
5. Background in finance, particularly in lending, banking, or debt management.
