This position is for a full-time room lead (qualified early years practitioner) within our 2-5 room, primarily working with 3-5 year old children. We are a small, homely early years setting with a strong focus on outdoor learning, providing endless opportunities within our country park setting.
Responsibilities:
1. Support a small team of 4 other experienced and nurturing practitioners to create a loving and fun environment for children.
2. Create and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children.
3. Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
4. Support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities.
5. Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents.
6. Collaborate with parents and other staff members to ensure the well-being of each child.
7. Maintain a clean and organised classroom environment.
8. Follow all health and safety regulations.
Skills:
1. Ability to lead a team, prioritise and delegate responsibilities.
2. Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
5. Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with young children.
