Job summary Thames Valley Cancer Alliance is a partnership that brings together leaders from different hospital trusts, GPs and primary care, health and social organisations, covering a population of nearly 1.8 million people. Our aim is to improve the diagnosis, treatment and care for cancer patients in our local area. We are seeking to recruit a Programme Manager to join our innovative and dynamic team. The post holder will work closely with the Clinical lead for Cancer Nursing and AHPs to deliver projects supporting personalised cancer care and treatment variation including the Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) project. The post holder will work as part of the TVCA team in delivering the Cancer Alliances objectives and priorities identified within the NHS Englands cancer plan. Key working relationships will include NHS England, primary and secondary care and voluntary sector organisations along with all staff delivering care to people affected by cancer. The post holder will have leadership and analytical skills, be technically competent, give attention to detail, and work collaboratively with effective communication skills across the system. The successful candidate will: Provide project management support and lead change programmes, championing best practice initiatives that promote excellence. Develop and deliver the workplans to support the national guidance for personalised cancer care, SACT & treatment variation.
