About the Role
Blyth's Meadow Surgery has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced summariser/clinical coder, to join our busy practice support team and assist in the smooth delivery of excellent patient care. This role is offered on a part time basis for 16 hours per week, over 2 days.
Main responsibilities include:
1. Summarising patients records
2. Reading coding of relevant patient information and entering medical data into the clinical system.
3. Scanning patient information into computerised records, including medical documents, hospital records and letters, as necessary.
4. Processing practice post and emails.
5. Handling enquiries efficiently.
About the Candidate
We welcome applications from organised, adaptable and friendly individuals who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service. Applicants should have the following skills and experience:
1. Experience of clinical coding.
2. Experience in summarising patients records.
3. Be an experienced administrator, with excellent IT, time management and organisational skills.
4. Ability to communicate effectively, working in a confidential and discreet manner.
5. Ability to multi-task, work efficiently and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure.
6. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as independently.
7. Primary care experience is desirable.
Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
About Us
Blyth's Meadow Surgery is part of Braintree PCN which has a multidisciplinary team of practice nurses, ANP's, HCAs, paramedics, social prescribers, a care co-ordinator, MSK physiotherapist and clinical pharmacists. We are fortunate to have a central hub that runs clinics Monday to Saturday, offering a wide range of appointments that help support the 5 surgeries in the Braintree area.
