Job Description An excellent opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join a forward-thinking Yorkshire-based accountancy practice at their Darlington office. The Accountant will liaise between the Directors, Team Leaders and colleagues to assist in the effective delivery of accounts preparation to the practice and provide quality customer service to clients. Please know, you must have experience in an Accountancy Practice to be considered. Key responsibilities for the successful Accountant will include: Preparation of sole trader, partnership, and limited company accounts from manual and/or electronic records. Preparation of tax computations for personal, partnership and company tax returns. Preparation of clients monthly, quarterly, or annual bookkeeping and VAT returns. Performing reconciliations and produce supporting working papers. Liaising with clients regarding queries or additional information required to assist with the work being carried out. Prioritising work accordingly to meet deadlines. Providing advice and support to other Accountants and Trainees when required We are keen to speak with candidates who have previous experience in a fast-paced, multi skilled finance role, you may be an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Accounts Executive or Semi-Senior Accountant with experience of working within an accountancy practice environment. Based in Darlington, this role is commutable from areas in and around Darlington and surrounding areas including Newton Aycliffe, Barton, Middlesbrough and Stockton-on-Tees.
