Job Title: Veterinary Receptionist (Client Care Assistant ) Salary: £ 24,045 per year Location: 608 Warwick Road, travel to all branches required (B91 1AA; B27 7UW; B93 9BL) Job Type: Permanent, full-time Hours: Flexible 40 hours per week, Mon-Sat, as per the sickness and holiday needs of the reception team. We have an exciting opportunity for a receptionist to join the fantastic team at 608 Vets in Birmingham. We are looking for someone to welcome clients and their pets to the practice in a warm, professional manner and provide support to our friendly team. This is a busy, varied role so previous experience would be preferable but not required. Ideal applicants will want to grow within the role, and we offer funded training, including courses with the BVRA, to support this. The job involves helping our clients navigate their potentially complicated and emotional journeys with us. From routine administration (including logistical, financial, and meditative) to more sensitive conversations, proficiency in face-to-face, telephone, and written communication is key. Our team are people-oriented with a strong love of animals, and the ability to adapt communication styles to best suit their recipients is essential. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Managing the practice diary; booking in appointments and surgical procedures. Answering a range of client questions via email and telephone. Pro-active communication between clients and colleagues to ensure the day runs smoothly. Administration duties e.g. scanning paperwork, filling in forms etc. Processing prescription requests. Taking payments. Promoting offers and services. Ensuring that reception is clean and well-stocked.
