Summary
NG Bailey are proud to be involved in the Hinkley Point C project based in Bridgwater, Somerset. This is the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in Britain providing zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes. NG Bailey, the UK's leading independent engineering and services business, are proud to be part of the MEH Alliance, a joint venture to deliver the mechanical, electrical and HVAC installation for the project.
As part of recent growth on this project, we have a new vacancy for a Quality Engineer to support the QA Area Lead in ensuring that the Project Quality Assurance requirements are understood and implemented and to ensure that Client and statutory requirements are effectively met.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
1. Interact cross-functionally with project team members and management.
2. Maintain CAR / NCR logs, Lesson Learned.
3. Review LTQR records where required.
4. Produce appropriate reports and management information, monitor the output and address any issues arising to drive improvements.
5. Lead investigations and implement effective Root Cause Analysis to enable the identification of corrective actions (as required).
6. Challenge systems, processes and working practices to ensure best practice and continual improvement.
7. Provide Process Verification Support within the Quality Team to exploit/mitigate risks to MEH Processes.
8. Champion Foreign Material Exclusion, preventing ingress or entrapment of non-specified materials, loose items or debris in equipment and /or systems during assembly and testing.
What we're looking for:
1. Hold a Lead Auditor Certificate, ISO9001, 2015 Standard.
2. Prior experience in a quality position completing audits within the engineering industry.
3. Previously having worked within a regulated industry and on large scale projects would be beneficial.
