Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join ourCAMHS mental health inpatient team based at Sowenna. You will be an integral part of the inpatient therapy team, as well as a key member of the wider MDT, supporting clinical staff and providing interventions on the ward. You may also work alongside members of the MARRS team, to help support the transition process of young people back into the community. The successful candidate will be required to draw upon the developing evidence baseto support assessment, formulation, intervention, and evaluation processes atSowenna. The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing evidence based Occupational Therapy assessments, treatment and support to young people and their families. They will also facilitate Occupational Therapy group work and co facilitate with other team members the group-based therapy programmes delivered on the unit. Main duties of the job The post holder will be required to offer consultation to the staff group regarding youngpeoples' occupational needs and communicate these with the wider CAMHS serviceand our multi-agency colleagues. They will also be expected to offer supervision tomore junior members of the team, including Occupational Therapists, TraineeOccupational Therapists and Activity Co-ordinators. We would like the post holder tocontribute to CPD training internally and there will also be the opportunity to contributeto service audits and research developments.
