As Facilities Services Supervisor, you will supervise the efficient delivery of facilities support services to the Commercial Services and Estates department and the wider University. You will supervise a team of Facilities Services Assistants who deliver facilities services across the University, which will include but not be limited to removals, deliveries, event setting up, caretaking, litter picking and waste and recycling duties. Additionally, as demand dictates, you will provide operational support to Traffic Management operations.
As Facilities Services Supervisor you can expect to be involved in:
* Supervising the Facilities Services Team ensuring all services are delivered to the required standards and that effective controls are in place to comply with University regulations and in line with Commercial Services and Estates (CSE) Service Level Statements (SLS) and CSE core values.
* Being the first point of contact for the day-to-day work activities of the Facilities Services Assistants. Supporting the Facilities and Customer Services Officer in the management of the Facilities Services Assistants including process/procedural improvements, recruitment, development and training following best practice and policies to maximise the delivery of service contribution, continually reviewing resources so that they meet the current and future University requirements.
* Supervising the health and safety of staff and when working on site both internally and externally, to reduce the level of risk or mitigate the effects of an accident, ensuring that appropriate regulations are adhered to.
What will you bring to the role?
* Minimum GCSE level 4/C or equivalent or significant relevant professional experience to demonstrate sufficient knowledge, literacy and numeracy skills to undertake duties.
* Full UK Driving Licence as you will be required to drive University vehicles for removals/deliveries.
* Previous significant experience of working in a similar role in the service sector.
