Merchandiser/Quality Controller required for long established clothing organisation The Merchandiser /Quality Controller will play a crucial role in collaborating with the design team and factories to ensure the seamless development and production of products, while maintaining the highest quality standards. If you are a garment technologist or QC and have a "can do" attitude and a willingness to work as part of a commercially-minded team, we want to hear from you Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain product work books to communicate correct labelling, barcode, size and technical information to suppliers. • To fit garment samples and update the workbooks with fit comments and make-up instructions throughout the development process. • Liaise with suppliers and factories by email and video conferencing to resolve technical issues. • Liaising with suppliers to ensure the certification/documentation for our products is correct and up to date. • Requesting and checking barcode and Care Label submits via email from suppliers to ensure they are readable and correct. • Liaising with our Licensors to ensure relevant product information is up to date. • Chase samples to meet critical path and delivery deadlines. • Ordering hologram stickers from our Licensors and forwarding them to suppliers for use in production. • Keeping a record of the packaging weights and measures and forwarding these to customers on request. • Organising/updating the Critical Path and product development files and samples. What We're Looking For: • A garment technologist / QC with a technically oriented qualification. • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment. • Multi-product experience with the ability to adapt across various product areas. • Knowledge of grading rules, fitting and resolving fit issues. Desirable Skills: • Excellent communication and organisation skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Salary range - £25,000 to £27,000. Working hours – Monday to Thursday 09.00 to 17.00 and Friday 09.00 to 16.30. Lunch - One hour. Holidays – 20 days per calendar year. After the first full calendar year, rising one day per year with service, up to a maximum of £25 days.
