Assistant Management Accountant Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 This is a newly created role. Play a key role in supporting financial operations and driving process improvements in a growing business. What You’ll Do: Working closely with the finance team, you will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, and performing key reconciliations. You’ll take ownership of invoice processing software while ensuring smooth accounts payable and receivable operations. Additionally, you will support VAT returns, tax submissions, and liaise with suppliers and customers on financial matters. Your role will also involve providing general administrative support to enhance finance team efficiency. What You Need: Ideally you will be AAT or part-qualified CIMA or ACCA. We’re looking for someone with strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to take ownership of financial processes. Experience in transactional finance, reconciliations, and working with finance systems is essential. A background in VAT returns, tax submissions, and handling supplier/customer queries will be advantageous.
