The store supervisor will play a crucial role managing Edge Hill Students’ Union\\'s Subway Store, ensuring that the store is running to the operational standards, completing regular stock-counts, conducting stock orders & training team members to the required standard. The store supervisor is a highly operational role and will be working closely with the team members to assist them in their duties by helping to process sales, prepare food and ensure that the store is opened and closed to the best standard.
* Team Leadership – Supervise and mentor the current student staff that we employ within the store, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure high performance. In addition to this, aiding in creating a positive and cooperative team experience to help increase morale.
* Customer Service – Set an example of exceptional customer service, addressing customer enquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manor. You will also be expected to assist in the training of team members so they can provide the same level of service.
* Food Quality and Preparation – Ensure that all food items, including sandwiches are prepared to the standardised recipes and quality. Monitor food safety and hygiene standards, taking appropriate action to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
* Operational Efficiency – Oversee the smooth operation of sales and transactions, allowing customers to have a pleasant and quick service within our store. Coordinate with team members to maintain cleanliness within the store and manage the inventory and restocking of ingredients and supplies.
* Quality control – Perform regular quality checks to help maintain food quality and freshness. Ensure that portion control guidelines are followed to minimise food wastage.
* Safety and Security – Ensure that all safety and security guidelines are followed within the store, including the correct use equipment. Reporting any malfunctions or concerns about equipment to the store manager.
* Training and Development – Assist in the training of direct reports within the store. Additionally, keeping team members up to date with new menu items, customer service expectations and food safety. Finally, providing guidance to team members to assist with internal development within their role.

In your position as a supervisor in our Subway team, your role entails close collaboration with our Subway team and the store manager to cultivate an efficient store environment aimed at overseeing and improving store operations. Your core focus lies in promoting positive outcomes in critical aspects such as productivity and food hygiene. Your adeptness at fostering positive teamwork within the store is a cornerstone in promoting a productive working environment. This role could be great for students; however, you will need to be flexible with your hours to coordinate with other supervisory staff.
