We're working with a well-established and growing business, looking for a hands-on, commercially minded Management Accountant. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, improving processes, and adding real value through reporting and insight. The ideal candidate will be a qualified (or finalist-level) accountant with strong systems experience – particularly Epicor – and a solid grounding in costings, ledgers, and reporting. What will the Management Accountant role involve? Full ownership of the general ledger, including month-end close, journals, accruals and prepayments. Preparation of monthly management accounts, variance analysis and reporting packs. Product and project costing – working closely with operational teams to understand drivers and variances. Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process. Maintaining and improving financial controls and reporting processes. Working closely with the wider finance and operational teams to ensure accurate data flow across Epicor. Ad hoc analysis and financial modelling to support business decision-making. Suitable Candidate for the Management Accountant vacancy: Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or finalist with strong relevant experience. Strong working knowledge of Epicor ERP – confident navigating the system and improving processes. Background in manufacturing, engineering, or a similar product-based environment. Proven experience in cost accounting and management reporting. Comfortable working across ledgers, with a good understanding of financial controls. Strong Excel skills and an analytical mindset – able to dig into the numbers and spot trends. Proactive, detail-focused, and happy working both independently and as part of a wider team.
