Job overview
We are Trafford Local Care Organisation - a public sector organisation bringing together NHS community health services and adult social care services in Trafford. We’re driven by the aim of improving the health of local people in Trafford by working across organisational boundaries.
Our community healthcare teams in adults and children's services are employed by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and deployed to us, linking closely with our colleagues in Manchester Local Care Organisation. Our teams work as one and together we will make a massive difference to the health of people in Trafford.
We are looking to recruit pro-active, enthusiastic and motivated Community Nursery Nurses with strong team-working skills and a commitment to delivering high quality, child-centred services.
Whilst successful applicants will primarily work within one team, you may be required to work at other locations across Trafford to ensure equitable service delivery. Core service hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30.

Main duties of the job
This post presents an exciting opportunity to work with families and young children to improve health and social outcomes and make a real difference in a multi-agency environment. If successful, you will be joining a supportive and friendly multi-agency team who share the same commitment.
You must have good communication skills, a positive attitude, the ability to work using your own initiative, and be computer literate.
Responsibilities include:
1. Working as a member of the Health Visiting team to ensure the delivery of an effective service to a defined population.
2. Undertaking clinical duties as delegated by the Registered Health Visitor.
3. Carrying out delegated tasks in the client’s home.
4. Liaising with internal and external contacts.
Key Requirements of the Person Specification
Nursery Nurse qualification/NVQ Level 3.
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.
