2020 Recruitment are working with one of our Kirkcaldy based business who are looking to add an experienced Food Production Operative to their team. To be considered for this position you must have at least one years’ experience in a similar role. The role: As part of the Production team, your main responsibility will be supporting the Team Captains in maintaining seamless operations and ensuring all products are manufactured to the highest standards, ready for sale. Responsibilities and Duties: The responsibility and duties include, but are not limited to: Ensuring all goods are signed in correctly, put away and stored in the correct locations Fruit and veg prep by hand Use of handheld, tabletop and floor standing machines. (including, running, handling, dismantling cleaning and assembling) Manufacturing jar and labelling products Labelling products, sometimes by hand, other times with a machine Packing order, building pallets and using pallet trucks Organising, cleaning and tidying the kitchen and the warehouses Checking, sorting and filling in paperwork correctly. Working Hours: This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week. The standard work schedule includes four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, starting at either 7:30 AM or 8:00 AM. Skills and Experience: You must have at least one years’ experience of food production knowledge Leven 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (can be obtained after job offer acceptance) Understanding of health & safety and food hygiene requirements within a food production environment Knife handling skills Willingness and ability to work as part of a team or by yourself Ability to work quickly and efficiently with excellent attention to detail Physically fit. This role can be physically demanding, involving tasks such as lifting heavy loads and long hours of physical work.
