Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit into the Staff Physiotherapy Service which provides early access and self-referral to staff inNorthumbria Healthcare Trust and also provides an early access service to Northumberland County Council.The successful candidate will be employed on a Trust wide contract and will provide clinics across the organisation. These are usually based atWansbeck and North Tyneside General Hospital, but may also involve clinics at Hexham General Hospital, Alnwick Infirmary, Berwick Infirmary, Blyth hospital or The Northumbria Hospital depending on demand.The role will involve a very close working relationship with Occupational Health but is based within the physiotherapy department. Main duties of the job We are seeking to recruit a well-motivated Physiotherapist with an interest in developing their career within the specialty of Occupational health physiotherapy. The post is based within the Staff Physiotherapy service, and will require a high level of musculoskeletal assessment and treatment considering workplace factors to enable an early return to work or prevention of absence. Training and support will be provided. Applicants must be able to demonstrate previous experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills with both peers and multidisciplinary team colleagues and time management skills. Evidence of continued professional development in musculoskeletal care in addition to experience contributing to student education, ideally holding a relevant qualification. Evidence of continued professional development and postgraduate training within this specialty are desirable.
