About the Role:
As a Primary School Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a pivotal role in the classroom, working closely with teachers to provide one-to-one and small-group support to students. You will assist in delivering engaging lessons, creating a stimulating learning environment and ensuring that every child feels encouraged, valued and supported.
Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons that cater to pupils’ individual needs.
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support, ensuring that all students can access the curriculum effectively.
* Encourage and motivate pupils to engage in learning activities, fostering their confidence and enthusiasm.
* Support children's emotional and social development, helping them to develop positive relationships.
* Assist in creating a well-organised, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
* Provide targeted support to pupils with SEN, adapting learning strategies as required.
* Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to teachers to enhance lesson planning.
* Foster an environment of respect, curiosity and academic achievement.
The Successful Candidate Will:
* A relevant qualification (such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, or equivalent) is desirable.
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA) in a primary school setting is advantageous.
* A patient, empathetic and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* An understanding of child development and safeguarding procedures.
