A Commissioning Engineer is required to test and commission electrical Substation Control Systems for critical projects in the UK.
VIQU is seeking a driven Commissioning Engineer to join a leading company in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct site acceptance testing/commissioning of electrical systems in both factory settings and client sites across the UK.
* Manage the project commissioning file, marking up drawings when changes are made.
* Supervise installations and ensure compliance with set procedures and standards.
* Prepare and manage commissioning documentation.
* Deploy configuration files to SCADA, RTUs, IEDs, and network devices.
Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience in a test/commissioning role involving fault finding on electrical and electronic systems.
* Previously worked in a role producing commissioning documentation and verification of electrical devices.
* Understanding of electrical safety protocols.
* Full UK driving licence and own car.
Desirable:
* Experience with National Grid Substations, SCADA systems, and AutoCAD.
* Relevant certifications (e.g. BS7671, C&G 2391) or National Grid competent person.
