Despite having an overall specialism in rail, they also have teams that specialise in highway infrastructure, tunnelling, energy, bridges, and structures.
About the opportunity
Due to the company continuing to win work, there is a need for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a £400M infrastructure project which involves 32.5KM worth of tunnelling. You will be responsible for managing costs to maximize profit for the company on the projects you will be working on and ensuring delivery of payment while developing client relationships. You will oversee and manage sub-contractors as well as a team of Quantity Surveyors. The successful individual will be involved in evaluating payments, including site measurements as necessary, and will undertake general surveying of projects as required, including reviewing and pricing variations and preparing valuations with Project Managers. This project involves all aspects of heavy civil engineering such as concrete works, shafts, and deep drainage.

Requirements
You will be required to have a good standard of education, preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND, HNC) in Construction, Civils, commercial management or quantity surveying, or an equivalent qualification. Experience working for a Tier One Main Contractor on large Civil Engineering projects is essential. It is important to have experience within highways, airports, or rail as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and to demonstrate good long-term stability at the companies you have worked for. Additionally, you will need at least 10 years of experience working in Civil Engineering.
