We are currently seeking Mobile Caretakers to join our Communal Services Team based in Central and West London. The Communal Services Team provides a high standard of services to Octavia Housing properties, tenants, and leaseholders. Our Mobile Caretakers hold a key role in ensuring our properties and surrounding area will be clean, tidy, safe, secure, and in good condition.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
* Ensuring all properties covered by the mobile team are cleaned to a high standard including regular sweeping of external areas, removing litter from communal gardens, cleaning internal areas, prompt removal of graffiti, and carry out gardening as required.
* Reporting and following up all communal repairs.
* Inspecting any play equipment on a regular basis and reporting any repairs or breakages promptly to ensure the equipment is safe.
* Participating in site inspections.
* Providing advice/signposting residents to other services, and reporting any support needs to the Housing Services Team.
* Providing a positive image of the Estate Services team and Octavia Housing.
* Ensuring all health and safety practices are followed in line with Octavia’s policies and procedures, and that all work is carried out safely.
* Working flexibly at a large number of different sites as required.
This role would suit an individual who has:
* A background in cleaning, caretaking, or building management.
* Sound knowledge of health and safety practices and requirements in relation to cleaning including COSHH and Manual Handling.
* The ability to deal with our residents' concerns and complaints while liaising with our contractors.
In order to be considered for this role, you must be:
* Able to be on call out of hours and deal with emergencies as required.
* Able to manage and prioritise your own work effectively.
* Capable of carrying out basic DIY/maintenance tasks.
* Able to carry out physical tasks on a daily basis.

This job role will be offering £13.22 per hour.
