Autism Learning Support Assistant - Halesowen Location: Halesowen Hours: 35 hours per week (8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday) Start Date: ASAP Monarch Education, part of Affinity Workforce, is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Autism Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive SEND school in the Halesowen area. This role involves working with primary or secondary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and a range of additional needs. While previous experience in a school setting is advantageous, it is not essential. We welcome applicants with a genuine passion for working with children and a willingness to learn and grow within the role. The Ideal Candidate Will: Have experience working with children or young people (formal or informal) Be organised, reliable, and an excellent communicator Show enthusiasm for supporting and inspiring learners Demonstrate effective behaviour management strategies Have experience supporting individuals with SEND, particularly Autism Possess knowledge of Makaton or sign language (desirable but not essential) Main Responsibilities: Supporting the class teacher and wider team in the daily running of the classroom Providing 1:1 or small group support during lessons and school activities Assisting pupils with their learning, social development, and emotional regulation Managing and responding appropriately to challenging behaviour Contributing to pupil progress by collecting evidence of learning for assessment purposes Monarch Education are proud to be a leading recruitment specialist in the Education industry.
