Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join the Central Finance team of a well-known brand in Hampshire. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and producing the group management accounts required for the executive board. This position serves as a crucial link between the finance team and the executives, providing a consolidated overview of business performance on a monthly basis. Requirements
* Qualified accountant with post-qualified experience in management accounting or group reporting roles.
* Excellent analytical skills, able to review information and provide accurate forecasts and actuals comparisons.
* Proficiency in financial software and tools.
* Ability to communicate financial results to non-financial leaders effectively.
* Leadership experience with a track record of managing successful teams.
* Strong knowledge of finance best practices, benchmarks, and methods.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the completion of monthly group management accounts accurately and promptly with thorough variance analysis.
* Oversee the month-end process in finance, coordinating schedules with the Accounting/Business Partner teams and maintaining strict adherence to timelines.
* Facilitate monthly evaluations with Accounting/Business Partners to examine P&L discrepancies, cash flow, internal KPIs, and competitive benchmarks for management accounts.
* Initiate enhancements in the management accounts reporting process by utilizing AI advancements and internal system capabilities.
* Assist in certain aspects of external reporting, such as segmental analysis.
* Preserve the management accounting structure and implement enhancements to streamline financial procedures.
* Collaborate with the Finance and systems team to identify and rectify errors in financial results.
* Manage group-wide exceptional costs, and provide forecasting and actual analysis.
* Enhance interconnection between results reporting and forward-looking planning by working with FP&A and FBP teams.
