The project\: Our client is creating an interim design team to review a number of CAPEX Projects that form part of the RIIO T3 investment. You will be the driving force from the scoping phase all the way through investment up to design completion, and support throughout delivery. Client focus - Deliver on our promise\: You will guide daily activities of the team of design management resources for project/s. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of design management to deliver key strategic outcomes & sub-function KPIs, directly influencing strategic development. You will be a point of contact for client design issues, ensuring relationships are managed and maintained. Gathering asset information. Arranging and managing surveys. Managing design modifications using sytems and procedures. Coordinating internal activities ie environmental surveys. Producing optioneering reports. Develop isolation and outage plans. Coordinating Stakeholder communication, scope queries, design review and decisions. Producing concept designs - 2D and 3D drawings Attending site when needed to diagnose problems & find solutions. Manage multidiscipline detailed design and associated analysis reports. Review MTO's and datasheets, review and accept manufacturing drawings. Propose and agree requirements to progress projects for delivery ie for FPSA's, design, construction and commissioning, closure. Complete Databooks. Communication with delivery teams ie for strategy, timescales, risks, opportunities. Support the delivery of national grid’s net zero targets. Integrity - Always do the right thing\: You will implement and execute the design management system, processes and protocols to meet statutory, legal, and contractual requirements. You will support the long-term development of strategy for a function or Business Unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future. You’ll need to have\: Design, construction, operation and maintenance of industrial assets including process safety assessments. Understanding of programme management and preferably be able to use planning software tools to create and or update programmes. ISO9001 and the application of quality management systems within project delivery. Have a good eye for detail, and experience producing written reports. Relevant engineering and industry legislation and standards. You’ll also have: Membership of RIBA, MICE,CIBSE,CIOB, RICS,CIAT or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development. Construction and consultancy expertise. Knowledge of building safety legislation, building standards, construction contracts, professional appointments and health & safety legislation. Experience of working in large, diverse teams. Experience of developing relationships with key senior stakeholders. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
