Role Overview
To work closely with the Operations team, ensuring that inbound and outbound orders are unloaded, stored and reloaded in a safe and efficient manner, in line with company processes and systems. Ensuring that all pallet movements are completed in a logical, safe and timely manner with orders being prepared and loaded to vehicles delivering direct to customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Ensure that operations are carried out in adherence to Good Distribution Practice (GDP) principles;
* Manage the team in the safe movement of pharmaceuticals throughout the supply chain from goods receipt to final-mile delivery;
* Promote patient safety in-line with the guidance and advice provided by the Quality team and controlled by the business quality management system
* Use of the business Transport Management system to present vehicles for loading and unloading in alignment with planned schedule;
* Ensure that all incoming ML trunk vehicles are unloaded, adhering to the relevant business processes, assisting the operations teams wherever required;
* The movement of palletised orders into and out of high-level racking for storage and distribution;
* Assis the operations team in the safe and compliant loading of trunk and final-mile delivery vehicles;
* Ensure Health & Safety procedures (SOP’s) are followed in all aspects of the operation so that the company’s zero-accident culture is promoted and worked to;
* Align with all MHRA regulations/company SOP’s to safeguard product integrity and cool-chain requirements;
* Monitor vehicle refrigeration systems once loaded/throughout the shift to ensure that temperature settings and stock integrity is maintained to the desired standards;
* Report any defects identified throughout the shift, to the shift supervisor, to minimise equipment downtime and impact on customer deliveries;
* Develop relationships and work closely with the operations team, to ensure that vehicles are loaded and presented in a safe, logical manner, as scheduled for departure;
* Express thoughts clearly, accurately, and precisely both verbally and in-writing;
* Be an integral part of the logistics team across the wider business, building relationships and a teamwork ethos;
* Be involved, if relevant, in warehouse operations when required to support the business strategy;
* Adhere to agreed KPIs and demonstrate improvements against agreed targets.
