Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Scaffold erectors to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, erecting, and dismantling scaffolding structures to support construction activities. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in various environments, collaborating with local authorities. The Scaffold erectors will work with other tradespeople and ensure that all scaffolding meets the required standards for safety and functionality.
Duties
1. Construct, erect, and dismantle scaffolding systems according to project specifications.
2. Ensure all scaffolding is plumb, level, and secure before use.
3. Collaborate with other trades.
4. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for fabrication and assembly tasks.
5. Perform routine inspections of scaffolding structures to identify any safety hazards or necessary repairs.
6. Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
7. Maintain an organised work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored safely when not in use.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience in scaffold erecting or a related construction trade is preferred.
2. Proficiency in using hand tools safely and effectively.
3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings related to scaffold design.
4. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
5. Physical stamina to perform manual labour for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
7. A valid driver's licence may be required for transportation of materials or equipment.
