SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our supportive secondary school. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, resilient, and committed to making a positive impact on students’ lives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, both in class and in small group settings.
* Help manage behavioral challenges, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans.
* Support students’ emotional well-being and social development.
* Encourage engagement and motivation in learning through personalized strategies.
Requirements:
* Experience working with young people with SEMH needs (school or similar setting preferred).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff.
* A calm, patient, and positive approach to behavior management.
