What the Job Involves Acting as a part of the Homeless Families & Singles Team, offering expert advice to prevent or delay homelessness. Engaging with courts, solicitors, and legal departments to prevent homelessness and improve housing sustainment. Providing specialist homelessness casework in accordance with national, regional, and local legislation, strategies, and policies. Using homelessness prevention tools skillfully and collaborating with partners for better outcomes for applicants. Ensuring duties under the Homelessness Reduction Act are met, employing a proactive, person-centered, and outcome-focused approach. Conducting comprehensive assessments to develop and manage Personal Housing Plans and risk management plans for applicants. Participating in multi-agency meetings and coordinating services and support for applicants in line with their housing plans. Maintaining accurate, GDPR-compliant records of all casework activities and decisions. Contributing to the development of best practices and service improvements within the team and wider Housing Advisory Service. Deputising for the Team Lead when necessary and participating in service/team meetings and emergency exercises. ```
