The Site Engineer/NEC Supervisor is a pivotal role in the successful delivery of NEC Engineering and Construction Contracts (ECC) such as NEC3 and NEC4. The NRS Site Engineer / NEC Supervisor ensures that works are completed in accordance with construction Design Management Regulations, New Engineering Contracts, Decommissioning, De-Construction, and Construction methodologies and techniques, with the quality standards defined in the Works information.
The Site Engineer/NEC Supervisor is a named role in the Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) and is responsible for notifying defects to the Contractor.
You will be responsible for witnessing tests and inspections by the Contractor and monitoring the quality of construction works on site. Inspections are undertaken to ensure construction is compliant with the Works Information, the NEC Contract, and applicable law.
You will be accountable for monitoring works and producing a site diary to assure that they are being executed to the desired quality as defined within the ECC contract.

Key Deliverables
* The NEC Supervisor will review the proposed Works information and provide guidance on testing and inspections required to comply with the planned Works, quality standards, and construction legislation.
* Support the Construction Manager in the drafting of monthly project reports.
* Support site and programmes in the delivery of non-EEC contracts (acting as a clerk of works).
* Monitor the execution of construction works, contractor safety performance, compliance with works as defined within the WI, and facilitate contract completion.
* Deliver a safe project by leading by example and installing a positive safety culture.
* Exhibit excellent communication skills and an open and honest working style, with the ability to inspire during the implementation of works.
* Support the Construction Manager in the handover of enclave sites to the Principal Contractor.
* The NEC Supervisor will have a regular site presence to scrutinise the works, ensure correct materials and standards, and manage defects.
* Identify and prevent issues.
* Witness testing.
* Notify the contractor of any defects.
* Attend progress meetings.
* Issue communications as per contract requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Working knowledge of delivering construction projects within a controlled environment (Essential).
* Qualified to HNC Level and/or 3 years’ experience in delivering construction works (Essential).
* SMSTS Construction Certificate and/or NEBOSH (Desired).
* Knowledge of the CDM Regulations (Essential).
* Working knowledge of NEC contracts (Essential).
