What will you be doing?
As the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in driving the financial performance of the business. Your responsibilities will include:
* Process Improvement: Continuously reviewing policies and procedures to drive operational efficiency, using strong commercial acumen
* Financial Reporting: Producing monthly management packs with accurate, timely data to support decision-making
* Team Leadership: Managing and mentoring the Management Accountant to ensure month-end activities and ad-hoc tasks are completed on time
* Business Partnership: Acting as a key finance partner to the senior leadership team
* Balance Sheet Management: Overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of Balance Sheet reconciliations
* Treasury Management: Managing cashflow, forecasting, and banking activities
* Forecasting: Reviewing sales and costs to generate accurate monthly forecasts across the business
* Budgeting: Leading the coordination of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, ensuring accurate recording in the financial forecasting system
* Tax & Compliance: Ensuring compliance with corporate taxation and VAT requirements
* System Development: Leading the improvement of third-party finance systems to enhance departmental processes
* Statutory Reporting: Preparing statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors
* Internal Controls: Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley internal control frameworks
* Ad-hoc Duties: Assisting with any other tasks as required by the business and department
What are we looking for?
* Qualifications: CIMA (or equivalent) qualified with 3+ years of post-qualification experience
* Technical Skills: Proficient in ERP systems and Excel, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Organizational Skills: Able to manage month-end reporting with a typical turnaround of 4 working days in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Experience: Previous experience in a Group company structure or matrix organization, with a solid understanding of product margin and inventory accounting
