This role will involve working across various locations in West Yorkshire, providing specialist speech and language therapy to children and adolescents with complex needs in a community setting. What your responsibilities will be for this Speech and Language Therapy role? As a Band 7 Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive assessment and intervention services for children and young people within the Forensic Outreach Liaison Service (FOLS) and Forensic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (FCAMHS). Your role will include conducting detailed evaluations of speech, language, and communication needs, devising and implementing tailored therapy programmes, and monitoring and reviewing patient progress. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated and effective care, while also engaging with families and carers to support therapeutic goals. Given the nature of the role, you will need to travel across West Yorkshire to various sites, so flexibility and effective time management are essential. Your work will contribute to the overall clinical excellence of the services provided, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained.
