We are looking for
a committed Pharmacy Technician/Science Manufacturing Technician ideally with experience in technical services. Candidates that are newly qualified or do not have technical services training will be given full training.
The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
The Pharmacy Production Unit holds a ‘Specials’ manufacturing license and an Investigational Medicinal Products (IMP) license and prepares, dispenses and manufactures a wide range of products including MAbs, CIVAS, clinical trials, and other aseptic and non-sterile batches.
There are a number of exciting developments on the horizon and we will require your skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to ensure the department maintains key standards and meets regulatory requirements.

Candidates without the qualifications listed within the essential criteria need not apply.
Communication:
1. To work with other Pharmacy Technicians/Science Manufacturing Technicians and Technical Officers within Pharmacy Production.
2. To encourage best practice among operators.
3. To communicate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals regarding products manufactured in the unit.
4. To communicate with Quality Control staff regarding regulatory standards.
Organisation and Planning:
5. To ensure own validations are maintained in line with departmental procedures.
6. To perform South West Accuracy Assessment for Aseptic Preparation and maintain accreditation for Pre and In Process Checking.
7. To assist in the organisation and planning of training and development of staff.
Patient Care:
8. To calculate correct doses, quantities and expiry dates for medications prepared.
9. To create and check worksheets and labels for products against prescriptions when required.
10. To enter patients’ prescription details into the pharmacy dispensing system to generate worksheets and labels as required.
11. To perform checks of raw materials for products, following appropriate training and assessment and ensure that appropriate documentation is completed.
12. To perform final checks on licensed aseptic and non-sterile batches, following appropriate training
