Job reference: AD9 Accounts Assistant £25k - £30k Bromsgrove Full time, permanent Rhodium Consulting are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Finance Assistant with experience using Xero to join a busy, vibrant and growing organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for managing transaction-related processes, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the team in maintaining the company’s financial integrity. Key Responsibilities • Transaction Management: Process, verify, and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank statements, and credit card transactions in Xero. • Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records and identify discrepancies. • Invoice Processing: Create, process, and manage sales and purchase invoices, ensuring timely and accurate recording. • Payment Runs: Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring supplier and vendor payments are made on time. • Expense Management: Review, process, and reconcile employee expense claims in Xero. • Data Entry: Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of financial records in Xero, adhering to company policies and procedures. • Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports, including transaction summaries and account reconciliations, using Xero’s reporting tools. • Compliance Support: Support compliance with accounting standards and company financial policies by ensuring all records are up-to-date and accurate. • Communication: Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and customers to resolve financial queries promptly. • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Provide support on ad-hoc financial and administrative tasks as required by the finance team. Qualifications & Skills • Proven experience in a similar finance or accounts assistant role. • Proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential. • Strong understanding of accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliation processes. • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively. • Strong numerical skills and problem-solving abilities. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. • A proactive and team-oriented mindset.
