The primary purpose of the post is to provide comprehensive and confidential administrative support to functions within Research and Innovation, including:
1. Supporting research study setup and delivery;
2. Supporting events management;
3. Monitoring finance, rostering, and training systems;
4. Performing general administrative and secretarial tasks.
This role will be based across three primary R&I locations: Rico House (Prestwich), Harrop House (Prestwich), and Rawnsley Building (Oxford Road Campus).
The post involves using IT skills (MS Office 365), including maintaining databases, and working with Word, Excel, Windows features, email (Outlook), the internet, and the Trust electronic patient records system (PARIS).
It is a Fixed Term Contract or Secondment, with up to hours per week (Part-Time considered), initially for 6 months.
Main duties of the job
1. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with researchers, professionals, service users, and managers.
2. Provide up-to-date research information to Directorates and Service Leads.
3. Liaise with services across the Trust to support recruitment to studies and provide information in suitable formats.
4. Communicate with patients/service users sensitively as required.
5. Liaise with research networks regarding recruitment data and targets.
6. Coordinate with the Clinical Research Delivery team and the Research Office.
7. Manage uploads of recruitment data to CPMS and LPMS databases.
8. Communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
9. Respond to queries from service users involved in research studies.
10. Coordinate dissemination of information within the team.
11. Assist in the production of R&I publications to promote research.
12. Arrange conferences, seminars, workshops, and training events.
13. Prepare conference and workshop materials.
14. Advertise events through various methods.
15. Organize venues and catering.
16. Coordinate bookings and registrations for events.
17. Liaise with presenters and delegates.
18. Attend and service events.
19. Assist in conducting audits and surveys as required.

Person specification
Education/Qualifications
* Recognized competency-based Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (NVQ, RSA), or equivalent experience.
* GCSE/O Level standard or equivalent, including English Language.
* Recognized IT qualification (ECDL, RSA, CLAIT, etc).
* Administrative qualification/training/experience (RSA III, NVQ in Business Administration, or equivalent).
Experience
* Planning and completing work systematically and efficiently to meet deadlines.
* Using Microsoft Office packages and managing files and folders.
* Minute-taking experience.
* Experience working within a mental health setting.
Knowledge
* Understanding of research governance, data protection, confidentiality.
* Knowledge of recruitment to research studies.
