We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic Maintenance Assistant to join our award-winning regional Facilities team. You will be required to assist with the day-to-day maintenance requirements across our office, retail and service operations and ensure all work is carried out in a timely manner.
This role will cover the Kent Sussex Surrey region and surrounding areas, however the base location of the role is flexible, and the role will have access to a service van as well as specialist tools to be provided.
The Opportunity:
* Carry out any maintenance works reasonably requested by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Group Facilities Manager on Hendy properties that do not contravene health and safety or any other legal requirements.
* Monitor any maintenance works that may need attention on a Hendy site and advise the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Group Facilities Manager as soon as possible of any found requirement.
* General site maintenance and repair, including plumbing, gardening, carpentry, some electrical work and also some groundworks.
* From time to time you will also be involved in office refurbishments.
* You will be required to use your own initiative when approaching reported maintenance requirements.
